Step One: Attend a Mandatory Penn Abroad 101 Session
This information session is required for all students wishing to study abroad during a semester or an academic year. Students may attend a Penn Abroad 101 session at anytime during their Penn career. Appointments with study abroad advisors in Penn Abroad will not be allowed for students who have not attended one of these sessions. Penn Abroad 101 offers a general overview of the study abroad experience. The one-hour presentation includes, but is not limited to, information about:
- How to decide which study abroad option is best for you
- The application process
- Getting credit for course work done abroad
- Financial Aid issues
Normally, Penn Abroad 101 is held 2 or 3 times a week throughout the semester and through Reading Days. View the Penn Abroad 101 schedule for the current times and locations.
